Our Leadership
The Society for Europe’s Evangelization is led by faithful men and women who share a common burden for reaching France with the Gospel. Together, they provide spiritual leadership, encourage missionaries, strengthen churches, and help carry forward the mission established in 1956.
International Director
Dr. Steve Fowler
Dr. Steve Fowler has faithfully served with the Society for Europe’s Evangelization for many years, working alongside founder Dr. Arthur Sommerville in advancing the Gospel throughout France. His ministry has included evangelism, church planting, leadership development, and encouraging pastors and missionaries both in France and the United States.
In 2012, Dr. Fowler became the American Director of S.E.E., representing the ministry to supporting churches while continuing to invest in the work in France. Following the homegoing of Dr. Arthur Sommerville in 2020, he assumed the role of International Director, carrying forward the mission and vision established more than sixty years earlier.
Today, Dr. Fowler provides leadership for the mission’s ministries in France and North America. He works closely with missionaries, pastors, and churches to strengthen existing ministries, recruit future missionaries, and equip Christian leaders who will faithfully proclaim the Gospel throughout France for generations to come.
Leadership Council
The Leadership Council provides prayerful guidance, accountability, and support for the work of S.E.E. Its members serve together to help protect the ministry’s purpose, strengthen its outreach, and ensure that the mission remains faithful to Scripture.
